Enrique García Asensio. Patron of Honor


Born in Valencia (Spain). He studied music at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, graduating in Violin, Chamber Music, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue and Composition.

At the age of 11 he joined, as a violinist, the Orchestra of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, of which he would become Concertmaster and later Director.

He has directed almost all the Orchestras in Spain.

His professional activity in the international field takes place in: Canada, United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Japan, Iceland, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Israel, Russia, South Africa, Ireland North, Switzerland, England, Portugal, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Holland, Denmark, Czechia and Slovakia.

He has an extensive discography made in Spain and England.

He has been assistant to Maestro Celibidache in the international courses that he taught in Bologna (Italy) and Munich (Germany), as well as in the classes at the Academia Chigiana in Siena (Italy) from 1960 to '63.

Abroad, he has given Orchestra Conducting courses in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Iasi and Bucharest (Romania) and Kerkrade (Holland). In Spain there have been many courses taught: Toledo, Madrid, Valencia, Chauchina (Granada), Minglanilla (Cuenca), Villafranca de los Barros (Badajoz), Brihuega (Guadalajara) and Granada. Liria, Buñol, Cullera, L'Olleria, Villarreal, Nules, Segorbe, Benicasim, Vall d'Uixó, Montroy, Algar de Palancia and Pinoso, in the Valencian Community.

He has been named Honorary Director of many highly prestigious musical groups such as: Unión Musical de Liria (Valencia). “La Artística” Society of Buñol (Valencia).

He is an Academician, corresponding, of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos de Valencia, Knight of the Order of the Holy Chalice and Knight of the Royal Order of Santa María del Puig.

Since its creation in 1986, and until June 2018, it has been a member of the Valencian Council of Culture of the Generalitat Valenciana.
